Youth Attendee Requirements

The 2026 National Jamboree is open to Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouting members who meet the following:

To attend as a youth participant, you must:

Be a registered member of Scouts BSA, Venturing, or Sea Scouting at the time of the event.
Be at least 12 years old and a First Class Scout by the first day of the Jamboree, and not turn 18 before the last day (Scouts BSA only).
Meet all BSA medical and physical fitness standards for high-adventure participation.
Commit to following the Scout Oath and Law at all times.

Unit Participation

Youth will be assigned to a Miami Valley Council Jamboree Troop, with leadership positions available.
Pre-event meetings and training will be required to help participants prepare.

Why Register Now?

Limited Space Available

Only 36 male Scouts and 18 female Scouts can join our contingent.
Additional units will not be added unless current capacity is 100% filled.

Manageable Payment Schedule

Participation involves a significant financial commitment to the council.
Payments are spread out over several months to ease the burden on families.
All payments are cumulative and must be paid in full before the national registration deadline.

Scholarship Opportunities

National Jamboree Scholarships available to help offset costs.
Priority Deadline: July 31, 2025 (results announced in early fall).
Final Deadline: November 30, 2025 (results by mid-winter 2025/2026).
⚠️ Note: In 2023, scholarship funds were depleted before all needs were met.

Registration & Cost

Total Cost: $2,300
Includes:

National Jamboree Fee ($1,560 – set by BSA National)
Council Contingent Fee ($740 – set by Miami Valley Council), covering:
- Round-trip charter bus transportation
- Meals, lodging, and equipment (including travel and tents)
- Council-branded gear (T-shirts, patches, backpack, etc.)
- Pre-Jamboree meetings and training

Payment Schedule & Fundraising

To ease the financial burden, payments can be made in installments (see linked schedule).
Scouts can fundraise through:

Popcorn and camp card sales
Sponsorships and scholarships
Council-organized fundraisers

Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.

Patch Incentive
All fully registered Scouts by July 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM will receive a complimentary Miami Valley Council 2026 Jamboree Patch Set (est. $30 value).
Fully registered means payments are current per the council schedule.
